RD2.20 LICENSE FOR EARLY START OF CONSTRUCTION
(see [I]:8.8)

THE REGENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, a corporation of the State of California, hereinafter called "Regents", hereby grants permission to

hereinafter called "Undersigned," to enter and use the construction site for

prior to the award of the contract for said project in a manner consistent therewith.

IN CONSIDERATION of being granted such permission the Undersigned agrees:

1. To indemnify, hold harmless, protect and defend Regents from and against any and all claims, costs or liabilities in any manner arising from the entry, presence or activities on said construction site by the Undersigned, its employees, agents or persons coming onto said site with the Undersigned's consent.

2. That no right whatsoever to compensation or reimbursement of expenses or costs shall accrue against Regents as a result of any act performed on said construction site or elsewhere in connection with said project, unless and until Regents award the Undersigned a contract for bid project.

3. The foregoing grant of permission does not constitute an award of contract by Regents.

4. This License is revocable within 120 days notice, and expires after one year or upon award of contract, whichever first occurs.
