Bulletin Board The Bulletin Board provides an opportunity to share problems, concerns and (most important) teaching ideas with your colleagues, a group that includes both your fellow high school teachers and the UC and CSU writing faculty. You will need the password you were given to access the Bulletin Board. Once admitted to the Bulletin Board, you will notice a number of different headings reflecting the topics in the Teacher to Teacher web site (the Bulletin Board calls them "forums"):
To post entries on the Bulletin Board, you have to follow some easy instructions on "registering" yourself under a pseudonym of your own creation (or you can just use your last name - all in lower case letters). In order to register, look at the upper right hand corner of your screen after you enter the Bulletin Board, click on the word Register. Part of the registration process also involves making up a password. The important thing is to remember your pseudonym and password exactly: the system is merciless on this point. The value of the Bulletin Board will increase directly as your comments accrue - both from a technological and an instructional point of view. Your account of classroom experiences using the DWS feedback and of your ideas for integrating that feedback into your teaching will be essential in enabling the DWS to achieve its purpose. In short, your comments on the Bulletin Board will be invaluable to high school colleagues using the DWS. Please share your experiences using the DWS, both in conference and in the classroom, freely and frankly. If you have any technical difficulties trying to get into the Bulletin Board or trying to post something on it, please contact Arlene Johnson at (609) 734-1828 or ajohnson@ets.org. Remember that Arlene works in New Jersey and is three hours ahead of you. |
