a-g Guide Web Site Gets an Overhaul
more

Welcome to the University of California's new expanded Doorways web site, which allows easy access to the three UC sites related to the "a-g" subject area requirements: (1) the course list site, (2) the a-g guide site, and (3) the online update site. Links to all three are below.

The 2011 – 2012 Update Cycle

The 2011-2012 submission cycle opened on February 1st and will be accepting new course submissions and course list updates through September 18th at midnight.

The UC Curriculum Integration (UCCI) Institute seeks talented and motivated CA high school teachers and administrators to apply for the Fall 2011 Institute on Nov. 6-9 in Santa Barbara.  This institute will focus developing integrated model courses with a "green" theme in the subject areas of History/Social Science ("a") or Laboratory Science ("d") in conjunction with CTE industry sectors: Energy & Utilities; Engineering & Design; Hospitality, Tourism & Recreation; Public Services; Transportation.  APPLY ONLINE at www.ucop.edu/ucci by SEPTEMBER 22, 2011.

The a-g Online Update site allows course outlines to be individually submitted at any time during the cycle. Each course must be entered into its appropriate subject-specific template on the site; course outline attachments will no longer be accepted. The University reviews submissions on a first come first serve basis. Courses are reviewed by subject area specialists, and blind-reads are conducted in order to maintain objectivity of the course review. Be advised that certain subject areas are impacted by the volume of submissions received. The University aims to respond to schools, districts, and programs as soon as possible. We thank you for your submission and patience, especially during continued enhancement periods when the update site is revised and improved.

Also please note that the locations for the Course Lists and Online Updates have changed. Please bookmark these new addresses, which are:
