Ricki Carr

Junior Delegate, UC Santa Cruz

I have worked at UC Santa Cruz since 1998. I work in the Financial Information Systems department as a Senior Software Analyst.

I have been a member of the Staff Advisory Board since July 2006. My first year on the SAB, I served on the UCSC Child Care Advisory Committee and the UCSC Second Harvest Food Drive Committee and I chaired the SAB Elections process to nominate and elect new members for the 2007-2008 academic year.

I also participated in the Diversity Dialogue Leadership Program that our campus offered a few years ago where I was given the opportunity to take classes in Conflict Resolution and Meeting Facilitation and to lead discussion groups on topics of Diversity. I completed a series of Ethics workshops held by our Campus Controllers Office.

I am a single parent of 2 boys. I love living in the mountains and working by the ocean. In my time away from work I enjoy dancing, cooking, hiking, swimming and I am an avid reader.

I look forward to spending the next 2 years on CUCSA, learning about and participating in the formation of new ideas and plans to make the staff experience at the University of California a more enriching one. Thank you for the incredible opportunity!
