Robert Wolfer serves as the Information Technology Manager for the UCR Graduate School of Education (GSOE), a position he has held since 2006. In this capacity, he manages the technology resources for the school and supports faculty, staff and students. He began his career as a Community Service Officer in the UC Police Department while a UCR undergraduate. In 1992, Robert became a Public Safety Dispatcher and went on to serve the Police Department in several different capacities. Robert has nearly 20 years of combined service with UC Riverside.
Robert was commissioned as an officer in the United States Army in 1991 and served in Kuwait for 18 months. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for his service. He holds a bachelor's degree in political science from UC Riverside and a master's degree in information technology from the University of Redlands.
In 2005, Robert served on the UCR Staff Assembly Executive Board as the Ways and Means Co-Chair and is currently serving as Vice President/President Elect on the 2012-2013 board and as the UCR Senior Delegate on the CUCSA board. He also serves as secretary for the UCR Veterans and Military Members Group. He is married with two dogs and lives in Moreno Valley. Robert spends a good portion of his non-work time volunteering with the high school youth group at his church.
