Biography
Ellen Ford is the Chief Operating Officer of the Joint BioEnergy Institute at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. She joined LBNL in 2002 as the Business Manager for the Physical Biosciences Division, managing financial and administrative operations for the division. She was a key contributor to the Joint BioEnergy Institute's proposal development and submission, and was appointed COO of JBEI in December 2007. During her time at LBNL, she has contributed to numerous LBNL initiatives which focused on the development and implementation of improved business practices and procedures. Several of these initiatives were in partnership with UC Berkeley. Process improvement, team building and operational excellence are her passions in business. Ellen is looking forward to contributing in these areas in her role at CUCSA and in helping to develop ongoing communications about the UC system and CUCSA with LBNL.
