Biography

Lin King

Lin is currently the Program Manager for the R4 Recycling Program under Facilities: Operations and Maintenance at the UC Davis campus. He attended UC Davis as an undergraduate and went on to receive his Masters of Science in Environmental Policy and Planning at California State University, Fullerton. Since Lin returned to UC Davis in 1995, the campus has been recognized as a national leader in waste reduction and recycling programs.

Lin has worked with Staff Assembly for many years on the Thank Goodness for Staff (TGFS) Appreciation Luncheon to assist them in waste reduction and recycling practices. Recently, the Environmental Protection Agency presented UC Davis an Outstanding Achievement award for their zero waste practices at their events which included the UCD Staff Assembly TGFS Appreciation Luncheon.

Lin has served on the UC Davis Staff Assembly Executive Committee and as a CUCSA Delegate for two years. With the passing of the UC Regents' Policy on Green Building and Clean Energy, Lin initiated and served as Chair for the new Staff Assembly Sustainability Subcommittee. He is looking forward to serving as Chair-Elect of CUCSA and continues his role in supporting and contributing to the environment, staff, and the campus community.
