Biography

Kathy Jackson

Kathy Jackson recently re-joined UC San Francisco's Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Sciences within the School of Medicine, where she is an Academic Personnel Analyst. In this capacity, Kathy is responsible for all Academic Human Resources issues for 4 divisions within the department. Her many and varied responsibilities include merits and promotions for faculty and non-faculty academics, reappointments, staffing search committees for open positions as well as new employee orientation, benefits information, and managing all other aspects of Academic Human Resources. Since joining UCSF in August 2003, Kathy has sought out involvement in the larger campus community. She has served on the campus-wide Chancellor’s Advisory Committee on Diversity – Staff Subcommittee for the past several years and is currently also serving on the UCSF Post Employment Benefits Committee. She is a graduate of the ABOG Mentorship Program (December 2006) and in 2008 served as a mentor in the UCSF Turnaround Mentorship Program. In addition she has served for the past four years on the UCSF Staff Council – she is currently Chair Elect as well as CUCSA Senior Delegate. Her past positions on the UCSF Staff Council include CUCSA Junior Delegate, Editor and Secretary. Kathy has been involved in numerous organizations throughout her career, both at UCSF and in her previous careers, at the local, regional and national level. These include the Women in Business Roundtable (WIBR) of the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce, Board Officer of Pros for Youth - a non-profit organization, ABOG, and the National Notary Association.
