Biography
Dr. Jan Serrantino is the U C Irvine Junior Delegate to CUCSA. Following 17 years as a public education teacher and administrator Jan joined U C Irvine in 2006 as the Director of the Disability Services Center which is a department in the Office of the Dean of Students/Student Affairs. "I feel honored to have the opportunity of giving back to my colleagues through my involvement with CUCSA." Jan is a native Californian and a first generation college graduate. During her undergraduate education she obtained her special education teaching credential. Her MA (Alliant University) and Education Doctorate (USC) degrees are in Education Policy and Administration. As a CUCSA delegate her interests are in improving respect and collaboration; strengthening the voice of staff; purposeful professional development that leads to staff empowerment and a commitment to developing and sustaining a positive campus environment.
