Biography
A member of the UC Santa Cruz community for over 30 years, Claudia is '100% Slug'. After graduating in 1979, her first staff position was as a receptionist in Counseling and Psychological Services, and since then has held positions in Staff Human Resources, the Biology Department, the Dickens Project, and Kresge College. For the past 13 years Claudia has been a Program Coordinator for Services for Transfer and Re-Entry Students in Student Affairs where she manages a resource center advising, advocating, and leading classes and workshops for transfer and re-entry students. She is in her second term on the Staff Advisory Board, through which she has served on the Title IX Advisory Committee, and is in her second year as Chair of the campus Child Care Advisory Committee. She also serves on the Campus Welfare Committee. Throughout her career at UCSC Claudia has served on numerous other program/conference planning committees and participated in a number of training and development programs including the Supervisory Development series, the Career Focus series, and several communications workshops, among others. She currently serves on the Campus' Orientation Planning Committee, and the Student Affairs Learning Outcomes development team.
