About Us

Bringing the resources of the nation's top public research university to help address California's most critical policy issues.

Contributing to Better Informed Policy Decisions on Healthcare Topics

Currently celebrating its 10th Anniversary, CPAC brings the resources of the University of California to address significant healthcare policy issues affecting California's low-income populations.

Through independent research and policy analysis conducted by the academic community both inside and outside of the University of California, CPAC expands and enhances dialogue among government officials, healthcare advocates, and academic researchers.

CPAC conferences, publications, and technical assistance activities work to improve both the access to healthcare and the quality of healthcare for immigrant workers and their families, low-income households in agricultural and rural areas, the working poor, and other vulnerable populations.

"CPAC has very successfully provided a
quick turnaround,
high quality healthcare research venue
which significantly informs the
Legislative debate
and health services research field, and
which has fostered fruitful academic and
legislative collaborations."
