Updated summary plan descriptions for the following plans—combined in one booklet—are now available:

• University of California Retirement Plan (for Members with Social Security)
• Defined Contribution Plan
• Tax-Deferred 403(b) Plan

This booklet (dated July 2000) is available online or from your Benefits Office. In September, it will be mailed to all UCRP members with Social Security, as well as to DC and 403(b) Plan participants.

The summary plan descriptions explain the plans' provisions and the policies and rules that govern them. They also provide information about actions you can take to maximize your participation in the plans, such as how to claim benefits or make changes to contributions or to your investment portfolio.
