[June 28, 2000]

Did you know that if you are between ages 65 and 70, you can work and still receive your full Social Security retirement benefits? A new law effective January 1, 2000, eliminated the annual earnings test for people who have reached full retirement age (currently age 65). The law already permitted people age 70 and older to receive full benefits regardless of their earned income. Please note that the earnings limit still applies to people who start receiving benefits before age 65.
