Starting April 1, Blue Cross of California will be renamed Anthem Blue Cross. This change affects UC-sponsored medical plans Blue Cross PLUS, Blue Cross PPO and Core. Medical plan members will receive new identification cards.

Anthem is the nation’s largest health benefits company and the Anthem name is used by 11 other health plans across the country. The internet address for Anthem Blue Cross plans will change.
