The CTE disciplines

Almost 95 percent of "a-g" approved integrated courses fall within the laboratory science, visual and performing arts, and elective subject areas. These subject areas tend to align well with the career pathways, and finding connections with other subject areas, such as English, history and mathematics, has been difficult.

To overcome this challenge, UC has developed the UCCI Institutes where teachers will collaborate to develop the integrated courses that are needed to strengthen their school's course offerings.
