Ladder & Equivalent Rank Faculty Data
Ladder & Equivalent Rank Faculty are a subset of all faculty employed at the university. However, they comprise the core set of tenured and tenure-eligible titles.
New Appointments, Separations and Incumbents
These tables provide counts of all individuals holding a ladder or equivalent rank faculty title regardless of primary appointment held or percentage time worked. Incumbent numbers include individuals on sabbatical leave.
Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) Fall Staff Survey (Summary data reported to the National Center for Educational Statistics)
The IPEDS tables provide counts of ladder and equivalent rank faculty that allow for the evaluation of changing trends in the number and distribution of incumbent faculty by campus, race/ethnicity and gender. However, provided are counts of individuals only in full-time service to the institution and having a primary title in the ladder and equivalent rank series. Individuals on sabbatical leave are included regardless of percentage time worked.
Availabilities: New Hires and Incumbents
The Availability analyses compare women and minority availability pools (as determined by national doctoral degree recipient data) to distributions of hires and incumbents.
