UCLA our Freshman Seminar Program is called Fiat Lux, after
the UC motto, Let there be light, because
these seminars are designed to illuminate the many paths of discovery
explored by faculty.
In
these seminars, faculty members share their passion for scholarly work and
encourage freshmen to explore frontiers of knowledge within specific topics.
