the application of the Salary Scale is subject to the requirements of the Higher Education Employer-Employee Relations Act (HEERA).
For librarians who are exclusiively represented, the Salary Scale applies only to the extent provided for in the MOU.
**Scale 1 applies to current librarians until they transition to Scale 2.
***Scale 2 applies to new librarians and to current librarians after they have transferred to Scale 2.  Current librarians transfer from Scale 1 to Scale 2 under University guidelines and
campus local procedures in conjunction with the merit process.  For description of transition arrangements, consult local campus academic personnel office.
