of the above-referenced titles who are exclusively represented, the application of the Salary Scales is subject to the requirements of the Higher Education Employer-Employee
Relations Act (HEERA).  For any of the titles in this list that are covered by a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), the Salary Scales apply only to the extent provided for in the MOU.
**Scale 1 applies to current represented librarians until they transition to Scale 2.
***Scale 2 applies to new represented librarians and to current represented librarians when they transfer to Scale 2.  Current represented librarians transfer from Scale 1
to Scale 2 under University guidelines and campus local procedures in conjunction with the merit process.  Transfer from Scale 1 to Scale 2 begins effective 7/1/2000.  For description
of transition arrangements, consult local campus academic personnel office.
