Mentor Guidelines

President's Postdoctoral Fellowship Mentors are expected to (1) take an active role in helping the fellow to attain his/her research goals, (2) provide opportunities for the fellow to participate in departmental and campus academic activities, as well as national and international research meetings, (3) encourage the fellow to focus full-time on research and avoid other commitments such as teaching, (4) assist the fellow in seeking opportunities to present papers or to interview for faculty positions at the other UC campuses, (5) attend the Annual Fall Meeting and the Academic Spring Retreat.
