California Forum for Diversity in Graduate Education Participant Profile
The California Forum for Diversity in Graduate Education, held at Mills College in Oakland on October 28, 2006, had 1,068 students pre-registered and 782 in actual attendance from the California State University , the University of California , and private and independent colleges and universities throughout Northern California . The previous Forum held in Southern California, at the University of California , Santa Barbara on April 21, 2007, had 1,246 students in actual attendance.
At the Mills College Forum, 76.4% of the student attendees had a GPA of 3.0 or better (with 36.4% above 3.5), while well over half (57.3%) of the attendees indicated they were from the first generation in their families to attend college

There were 153 recruiting tables at the Mills College Forum representing a total of 113 different institutions. Ninety-eight percent of the students in attendance reported that they visited the recruiter fair, with 73% indicating they approached six or more recruiter tables. Recruiters responding to the Forum's survey reported meeting with an average of 41 students each.
