Promoting Diversity in Graduate and Professional Education
The University of California is the premier public university system in the world, and a leader in both graduate education and research. The University offers graduate academic degree programs at ten campuses.
Systemwide Diversity Programs for Students
Academic Career Development Program (ACDP) - This program provides support for several essential stages of graduate education, including: pre-graduate (Academic Preparation); first-and second-year graduate funding (Eugene Cota-Robles Fellowship); research funding (Graduate Research Mentorship); and final-year funding for writing of the dissertation (Dissertation-Year Fellowships).
Alliance for Graduate Education and the Professoriate (AGEP) - AGEP is a partnership between the ten campuses of the University of California and the National Science Foundation (NSF). The goal of this partnership is to increase the number of underrepresented minority students who acquire doctoral degrees in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics, and ultimately enter the professoriate.
