Cadre Resources

Support & Assistance (Cadre of Experts)

UC Office of the President staff has trained dozens of high school educators and UC/CSU outreach personnel to serve as a "Cadre of Experts" to assist high school educators in developing curriculum and writing up course descriptions that are likely to meet the UC "a-g" subject area requirements.  These individuals have expertise in a range of different curricular disciplines, serve in varied professional capacities, represent different sectors of education and different school types, and work in all regions of the state.

Cadre members are eager to assist in any way they can. They are prepared to (1) field general questions about the UC "a-g" course approval process, (2) offer informal feedback on draft course descriptions, and, in some cases (3) make presentations to school and/or district staff. Please do not hesitate to contact them.

Search for Support

Educators can now search the Cadre of Experts database to find Cadre members particularly well prepared to assist them. You may wish to find a Cadre member who is nearby, in your county, or in your general geographical region. You may want to connect with someone who has specific discipline expertise in the area of your course development work who is in a type of school similar to your own, a private school or a charter school, for example. You may wish to identify a Cadre member by educational role, e.g., another teacher, a counselor, an administrator, a university admissions/outreach staff member.

You can now conduct searches in five categories by using the drop-down menus below. For additional explanation about each category, click on the icon that appears to the left of each category listed.
