Course DescriptionsIn this section you will find dozens of UC-approved course descriptions, ranging from standard courses to innovative ones. Over the years, UC has accepted a broad range of innovative courses, from engineering and biotechnology to media and business. You can search these courses by either subject area (a-g subjects) or career pathway (California Department of Education approved "industry sectors"). Our goal in posting "standard" courses is to highlight course descriptions that are considered exemplary, while "innovative" courses serve only to offer examples of the types of courses that have been approved, but are not necessarily considered model or exemplary descriptions. All course descriptions posted to this site are FOR REFERENCE ONLY, and should not be duplicated word-for-word and submitted to UC. Instead, course descriptions should be customized to accurately reflect the courses taught in your school/district/program. Also posted are several courses that have not been approved by UC, along with explanation for their non-approval. Course descriptions will continue to be added, as appropriate.
